The 1 GPM Standard Flow Aerator with Holder provides a constant, consistent flow in spite of variations in inline pressure.  Flow Aerator commonly 

 flow restricted, using a fixed hole to control flow rate. They work great if the line pressure is around 60 PSI(pound per square inch) . If it is much lower, the flow rate will be insufficient; if it is higher, water and energy will be wasted. This PCA aerator will maintain a constant flow of 1 regardless of water pressure.
